| A very popular Spanish food in these parts, and indeed, all over Spain, is Paella. A Valencian fish dish of rice, prawns, cockles, muscles, squid, crab, even octopus etc. You can usually also order a chicken Paella, if all those tenticles and fishy bits put you off. The large photo is of a traditional Paella and the small photo is a Paella with black rice. It gets it black colour from being cooked in squid's ink. Paella is pronounced: Pa-aye-ya. |
